The authority signs an agreement in line with the desire to make 25% of transport in the emirate driverless

The Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) on Thursday signed an agreement with autonomous logistics company Evocargo to present and launch tests of fully electric unmanned hydrogen vehicles.

Autonomous vehicles were presented at the Dubai World Congress for Self-Driving Transport on Wednesday. Evocargo’s end-to-end robotics logistics service can reduce transport costs by up to 60%.

Andrei Bolshakov, Founder and Director of Business Development of Evocargo International Holdings Limited, told the Dubai World Congress for Autonomous Transport: “We have ambitious goals to raise awareness of the intelligent logistics service provided by full-size unmanned vehicles. EVO.3 (class N3) and EVO.1 (class N1) which have a significant impact on the logistics industry. “

Ahmed Hashem Bahrozyan, Director General of the Public Transport Agency, Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), said: “We are delighted to bring autonomous driving technology to external customers and the general public as it will improve our services and will help us ensure that 25% of all transport trips in Dubai are smart and driverless. “
